Pantone Colour of the Year – Discover how Living Coral can energise your workspace and invigorate your teams

Since the 1960s, Pantone has been influencing creatives who rely on its standardised colour reproduction system for design and print continuity, consistency and inspiration. Every year it unveils a new Pantone Colour of the Year to reflect a new season of trends and influences that will fire the imagination of product developers and purchasers, designers and retailers; in 2019 that task falls to the incoming Colour of the Year: Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral.

Are your signs fit for winter?

Making sure your exterior signage is in good condition and fit for winter is critical for your business. Check your signs are structurally sound and fit for purpose as the legal responsibility for regular sign maintenance and inspection rests with the sign owner. It is a minimum requirement that any external sign is maintained and fixings checked for safety on an annual basis. Ad hoc inspections should also be made following adverse weather conditions such as high winds or heavy snow etc.

In the unlikely event of a sign failure resulting in damage, injury or death, the sign owner could face criminal proceedings if regular maintenance and inspection checks have not been carried out and properly recorded.

If this is you that’s great, you are in the right place. However, did you ever ask yourself how other people perceive your business? Are your signs working as hard as you?

Signbox collects two gongs at the 2017 British Sign Awards

We drove up to Leicester last Thursday for the 2017 BSGA British Sign Awards with our hopes high. Three of our 2017 projects had been shortlisted – one of them in two separate categories.

After an excellent lunch we were delighted to be able to head off back down the M1 with not one, but two new trophies to put in the cabinet back at HQ.

It has now been 4 years in a row that Signbox has won at least one award at the industry’s annual gala event, a remarkable run of success. This year we were particularly pleased with the categories in which we won the top awards.

Signbox is in the running for the BSGA 2017 British Sign Awards in three categories

Signbox have been shortlisted for The BSGA 2017 British Sign Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the signage industry, for three categories: Architectural Sign of the Year, The Decor Award and Illuminated Sign of the Year. The winners will be revealed at the Awards Event in Leicester on Thursday, November 9th. We are hoping to add at least one trophy to our collection and fingers crossed for a hat-trick!

Is your signage in a fit state for winter?

Driving out of London on the M4 on Saturday, I was admiring a spectacular sunset – with our recent high elevation signage work at west London office building The Mille prominent on the skyline. It was not long after 7pm and it was a reminder that the nights are drawing in, and winter – dare I say it – is not so very far away.

Signbox has won a gold award in the decals category of the FESPA Awards 2017

Recognised during the FESPA Awards Gala Dinner on Wednesday May 10th at the Grand Elysee Hotel in Hamburg, Signbox’s Hachette project impressed the judges amidst a strong field. “This is a great example of the best of both worlds,” one judge commented. “Print and contour cut to ease production and application, with the appearance of vinyl cut lettering.”
