Architectural signs specialist Signbox has collaborated with designer Resonate Interiors to introduce a fresh and contemporary design at the new London headquarters of information solutions provider, Algomi. Based in America Square in City of London, Algomi’s new office is an open space situated on the twelfth floor.
Algomi wanted a modern environment that would inspire employees and visitors alike. Responding to this brief, Resonate Interiors developed a design concept that revolved around the colour scheme of the Algomi brand – a simple yet attractive blend of black, white and turquoise blue – which would inject an understated element of luxury and style. The three-colour palette enabled the interior designer to juxtapose hard and soft materials to great effect – including black Offect acoustic panels and a bespoke flowing ceiling.
For the boardroom and reception-come-business lounge area, Resonate Interiors wanted to entwine the Algomi branding in a subtle yet striking way. Having previously worked with Signbox on a number of interior design and architectural projects, Resonate Interior’s Managing Director, Pernille Stafford, knew the specialist would be able to add the final flourish to her design.
“We have always been hugely impressed by Signbox’s attention to detail and flexibility, which are essential attributes for these type of projects,” says Pernille Stafford, Resonate Interiors’ Managing Director. “We knew they would be able to source and recommend the most appropriate materials and printing techniques for our signage needs to execute our design.”
Signbox created bespoke light boxes – LED illuminated Kube frames – for the Algomi logo, which were to be installed in the feature walls in reception and boardroom. As the logo consists of a transitional fade, Signbox decided this was best achieved via digital printing onto soft signage.
A high quality glass manifestation was used for the boardroom’s window walls. Resonate Interiors’ design was an interplay between the brand colours, and Signbox sourced and digitally printed it on optically clear film to ensure the design was accurately replicated from screen to window. The end-result is a stimulating façade that also provides privacy for the occupants without stifling the transmission of light.
Stafford concludes: “Signbox helped us to deliver our vision, turning our design and ideas into reality. The timescales were fast and furious, with only two weeks to design and four weeks on-site, yet Signbox was working alongside us every step of the way to help us to translate the Algomi brand into the office environment in an engaging and eye-catching way.”
