As we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year, we wanted to create something that truly embodies the journey Signbox has taken since 1985 — a journey that has shaped streets, landmarks, and environments across London and beyond.
A new feature now proudly takes centre stage inside our office reception: a striking installation that stretches across our curved staircase wall, presenting a map of London marked with pinpoints of the countless locations where Signbox has made a lasting impact. It’s more than a map; it’s a story of four decades of creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship, all woven into the very fabric of the capital’s built environment.
Celebrating our London story
London has always been at the heart of what we do. Over the years, we’ve delivered signage and wayfinding solutions for almost every iconic street and district in the city — from the vibrant energy of the West End to the historic grandeur of Westminster and the ever-evolving skyline of the City. Each project has brought its own challenges and rewards, but all have contributed to making London more navigable, more engaging, and more beautiful.
Our signs don’t just direct people — they enhance experiences, reinforce identities, and help shape the character of spaces. Whether we’re installing striking branding for a landmark building, designing wayfinding systems for public destinations, or delivering discreet, timeless solutions for heritage sites, our work helps people connect with their environment in meaningful ways.
The new map wall celebrates this contribution. Every pinpoint represents not just a project completed, but a relationship built, a vision realised, and a space transformed. It is a powerful reminder of the impact design and signage can have on a city, and of the role Signbox has played in helping London thrive.
Excellence in design and craft
Of course, our ability to achieve this legacy has always rested on two things: our people and our capabilities.
At Signbox, design is at the heart of everything we do. Our in-house team of designers works closely with architects, developers, and clients to create signage solutions that are not only functional but also inspiring and visually striking. Their expertise ensures every project reflects the brand, the architecture, and the people who use the space.
Behind the ideas sits our manufacturing team, whose skills bring these visions to life. With advanced in-house production facilities, we combine precision engineering with artisan craftsmanship to produce signage that meets the highest standards of quality and durability. This unique blend of creativity and technical excellence is what has defined Signbox for 40 years — and what continues to set us apart today.
Beyond the capital
While this new installation celebrates our London legacy, it tells only part of our story. Our expertise reaches across the entire UK and beyond, with projects delivered for workplaces, campuses, retail spaces, cultural landmarks, and public environments worldwide. Wherever we work, the same philosophy applies: to design and craft signage that makes spaces better, clearer, and more human.
Iconic projects worth celebrating
Over four decades, we’ve had the privilege of contributing to some of the most recognisable and ambitious projects in our industry. Here are just a few highlights that showcase the breadth of our work:
- QVC – Chelsea Harbour
- 22 Bishopsgate – City of London
- Google – 6 Pancras Square
- New Scotland Yard – Victoria Embankment
- The ARK – Hammersmith
- Tottenham Hotspur stadium – White Hart Lane
Looking ahead
Reaching 40 years in business is an achievement that speaks volumes about the dedication of our team, the trust of our clients, and the quality of the work we deliver. The London map wall stands as a symbol of that legacy — but also as a promise of what’s to come.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of signage design, embracing new technologies, and continuing to enhance the environments where people live, work, and play. With the same passion, creativity, and craftsmanship that have carried us this far, we’re excited to see what the next chapter in the Signbox story will bring.
