Signbox wins awards and accolades at BSGA Sign Awards

The winning award was for Signbox’s comprehensive signage works at UBM’s new headquarters in Central London. Meanwhile the work for Paternoster House was also highly commended in the ‘Interior Signage of the Year’ category. For the award-winning project, Signbox worked with closely with the project designers and architects to create an office environment that reflected the professionalism and reputation of the global media brand. As part of the fit-out, Signbox produced two bespoke illuminated applications; a glass and steel monolith at street level and a 16 square metre backdrop wall for the reception, made from routed Corian panels embedded with LEDs to provide a unique light pattern. Signbox was highly commended project for the ‘Interior Signage of the Year’ award was for its role in a major refurbishment of the commercial reception area at the Paternoster House office complex in Paternoster Square, City of London. For this project, Signbox developed a prominent illuminated portal sign using LED fabric cladding that sits comfortably within the brick arches that lead to the reception, as well as using a printed glass graphic depicting the inside of St Paul’s iconic dome and a bespoke tenant directory. The BSGA remarked that the end-result ‘oozes class’. For information on this project is available here: ‘Signbox provides branding for stylish refurbishment of Paternoster House’.

“To win a BSGA award for a second year running is an incredible achievement,” says Mark Bartlett, Managing Director, Signbox. “We went to the awards honoured by the fact we had received the two nominations, especially given the galaxy of talent nominated for the awards. Naturally, we’re absolutely delighted to win it, especially for such a large-scale and complex project such as UBM. For our hard work to recognised by the industry and our peers is very gratifying and provides us with extra impetus to build on everything we’ve achieved so far in last 30 years and to push on to emulate our accomplishments next year.”

The BSGA Awards 2015, which reached its culmination at a gala ceremony held at the East Midlands Conference Centre at University Park in Nottingham, was attended by over 300 people and brought ‘the industry together in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere’. The awards were launched in 2014 and the format proved such a success that it returned for another year.
