This year’s brave team consists of Pauline Way, Nicky Wilkins, Andy Harris, Louise Wright and Sam Penhearow, all will be overcoming their fear of jumping out of a plane with the famous Red Devils to raise money for this fantastic charity.
We have decided to support the Children with Special Needs Foundation, as it is a local children’s charity that is run entirely by volunteers. The charity was founded in 1995 by Gordon & Ann Parris, when they were Mayor & Mayoress of Surrey Heath.
Now in its 20th year, they are able to help children up to 18 years old, with whatever special need that has affected their life, whether it’s providing specialist equipment, educational needs, IT equipment, specially equipped kitchen facilities to minibuses and sporting apparatus.
To date they have given nearly 100 children the chance to enjoy a “Trip of a Life Time” to Florida, to swim with the Dolphins, meet Mickey Mouse and have a life changing experience! Many children have also received help with electric wheelchairs and specialist kit for the home.
