Month: January 2016
According to the Statistics held by the Alzheimer's Society, there was a recorded 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK last year.
It is usually very difficult for a partner or family to cope with a loved one that has dementia so it’s not surprising that the proportion of residents in care homes with dementia is rising. Indeed, a recent major survey of UK care homes revealed that 63% of residents suffered confusion or memory loss, common symptoms of dementia.
“New Year, New Me”! We bet that you have heard that saying constantly since the clocks hit 12am New Years day. It’s no wonder why so many of us decide that January is the time to refurbish our lifestyle. The holiday season encourages us all to relax, spend time with family, friends and eat - most likely a little more sweet laden food than usual.
