RHS Wisley

RHS Gardens Wisley is one of Britain's best loved horticultural landscapes. Home to stunning show gardens and some of the largest and most diverse plant collections in the world, it is designed to educate and inspire gardeners worldwide.

In celebration of its 200th Birthday a new glasshouse has been built at Wisley. Designed to house the Society's world-renowned tender plant collection the new glasshouse incorporates a Learning Centre and Growing Lab for inspiring the next generation of gardeners.

This impressive structure was opened to the public on June 15th and to enhance the opening and aid visitor wayfinding Signbox were approached to provide a stylish and versatile sign system for the project.

"We were asked to provide an unobtrusive but effective sign system that was easily transferable and suitable for extended use following the opening" said Neil Devery, Project Manager for Signbox.

Stealth is an elegant and versatile system providing a range of distinctive profiles for external signs. The slender lines and durable finish harmonize with both contemporary and traditional environments alike making it perfect for the RHS Wisley brief.

Signbox were pleased to adapt the Stealth System by designing a tripod with a disc as a base to create a manageable sign system that measured just over a metre high and 100mm wide, which could easily be pushed into the ground.

"The Stealth signs have been very successful. Signbox rose to the challenge of producing a custom design to a tight deadline, we are very pleased with the quality of manufacture and finish," says Chris Tank from RHS Garden Wisley.
